Curt & Karen: Bristol, Rhode Island; Curt is in his early 40's and is a sailing Nut (note, with a capital "N"). He loves his 36' Pearson 36-2 sailboat, "Aquavit" almost as much as he loves me. It's a close call on some days. He also loves slugging it out with some of the best sailors in the Northeast weekly during winter Laser sailing races in Bristol Harbor. He is an excellent captain who enjoys barking out orders in boating lingo that very few but him can understand and I am his first mate (and most often, "cabin girl"). We both work to support this expensive, but obsessively fun, hobby and look forward to sailing into the sunset for a few years of island time at some point in our lives. Oh, and we have the best salty dogs in the world: Marta, our 7 year old American Eskimo dog, and Ming, our 4 year old Pekingese. Where we sail, they sail. Woof.
