New boat upholstery will soon be a reality. Bye bye 80's southwest, although I'm sure it was pretty rad in 1987. Here is the winner - "Beachcomber" in Dune color by Sunbrella. The shells are actually quite large, although it is difficult to see here, and the color slightly deeper than this photo. The fabric is incredibly tough and thick, but soft at the same time and should be able to withstand Marta's nails and also hide her hair. Camouflaging Marta's hair was a priority when selecting a fabric. No navy blue, no green, no dark red. I'm going to do ivory cording on all of the cushions and redo the interior shades in the boat in a solid taupe Sunbrella. Kathy our upholsterer is going to get started in about a week. Hooray!
