Curt bought me a lovely stainless cocktail shaker for my birthday. I know he's not so secretly hoping to get a few tasty drinks out of it this summer on the boat. The Side Car is my favorite fancy drink (I'm typically an easy going gin and tonic with lime kind of girl). I like them because they are sweet and sour and a good drink for sipping. Here is a recipe that I will definitely introduce my shaker to. It couldn't be easier:
Side Car
2 parts brandy
1 part Cointreau
1 part freshly squeezed lemon juice
Lemon twist
Shake the brandy, Cointreau, lemon juice with ice and strain into a glass (old fashion or martini glasses work). Garnish with lemon twist.
Sounds delish! I'm a fan of the Lemon Drop, for the same reasons. Looking forward to consuming tasty drinks on board this summer!
ReplyDeleteOf course, there's always the trusty Salty Dog, my personal favorite!
